How do these treatments work?
- The word 'Botox' is the commonly used term for Botulinum Toxin Type A, this solution is injected into the muscles of the face and blocks the signals which normally tell the muscles to move. Without contraction in these muscles the skin on the face becomes wrinkle free.
- Dermal fillers are a natural, non toxic and non-invasive substance based on hyaluronic acid which the body naturally produces itself. This when applied into the face with a fine needle it increased the volume of the face in such a way that the wrinkles in the skin smooth out.
What are face and lip treatments?
Our face and lips treatments consist of a small safe and painless injection in the relevant parts of the face. These injections will administer 'Botox' anti-wrinkle or dermal fillers to the areas of your face that are causing you concern.
These treatments work on the underlying muscle issues which lead to wrinkles.
Anatomy of the wrinkle
Face, lip lines and wrinkles result in from a mix of muscle movement and ageing. If you're angry or annoyed you furrow your eyebrows together causing the muscles underneath your skin to contract causing the skin laying on the surface to fold.
For women, whose faces tend to be more animated than that of a male, and whose skin is typically more delicate, these lines may seem more commonplace and exaggerated.
Fortunately there is a way to temporarily reduce these lines using our facial rejuvenation techniques, which can visibly smooth and soften moderate to severe frown lines between your brows. Any improvement can be seen within days and may last up to 4 months, though results may vary.

1. Initial consultation
We will talk through your concerns and areas which are troubling you, and outlining what can be done to reduce them. Depending upon the nature and scale of your problems, the decision will be taken as to whether the use of 'Botox' or dermal filler treatments are best.
Although the injections are very small and almost painless, some patients may choose to take up the option of having areas in question numbed with an anesthetic cream or ice pack. The treatment will be administered using small, very fine needles. Most patient describe the treatment as feeling no worse than tiny pin pricks.
3. Follow up
In the case of dermal fillers the effect will be instantaneous, where the 'Botox' injections may take up to 7 days to take effect. Where a filler is administered to touch up, an appointment is required 2-4 weeks later to help meet the very best results possible.
Smoothing out folds and wrinkles by adding volume can make an enormous difference to your appearance and can roll back the years in a matter of minutes, making you look as young on the outside as you feel on the inside.
Face and lip treatments are not just about vanity, they are about wanting to make the best of yourself and wanting to feel happy with the image you present to the world. Being happy with your face means being happy with who you are and that can only be a good thing.
After treatment - what can be expected
Immediately after 'Botox' treatment you can expect a slight redness, swelling. tenderness and an itching sensation in the treated area. This is a normal result and the discomfort is temporary and generally disappears in a few days.
When it comes to dermal fillers or lip augmentation the swelling may last a little longer. During this time the lips can look somewhat uneven and this means that the result directly after the treatment should not be regarded as the final result.
